US Navy plane crashes into the sea near Japan: WSJ reports, a US Navy aircraft carrying 11 crew and passengers crashed into the sea south of Japan‘s main islands on Wednesday. The Navy provided no details on casualties, but Japan’s defense minister said eight people had been rescued.

8 people found after Navy plane carrying 11 crashes into the Pacific: WP reports, the C-2 aircraft, which had 11 crew and passengers on board, had been traveling to the USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier, which is currently in the Philippine Sea on exercises with Japan’s Maritime Self-Defense Force. Japanese Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera said eight people had been recovered from the C-2 aircraft, although it was not clear whether they were found alive.
